Topping our midday news headlines, a community on the north coast of Trinidad and Tobago has been cut off from the rest of the country, after two days of heavy rainfall caused landslides that blocked roads.
Residents of Matelot have been left isolated, with the roads impassable and phone service unavailable. But efforts are on to clear the roads.

Jamaica’s young Reggae Boyz suffered a second loss in three days when they crashed to a 3-1 defeat to Canada Under-17s, in the final game of the two-match series at the JFF Technical Centre on Tuesday.
Entering the contest hoping to make up for their 3-nil defeat in the opening game on Sunday, Jamaica conceded one goal in the first half and two in the second, to once against play second fiddle to the Canadians.
