RJR National Sportsman & Sportswoman Awards

CaribVision will be bringing you the annual awards show, which honours Jamaica’s top sport performers sees six-time winner Usain Bolt as favourite for sportsman of the year after his treble/treble performance at the 2016 Rio Olympics in Brazil.

Other nominees for sportsman of the year are Olympic 110m hurdle gold medallist Omar McLeod and West Indies cricketer Marlon Samuels.

Sportswoman of the year the nominees include ElaineThompson who made her mark this season with impressive Olympic gold medal wins in the 100m and 200m as well as silver in the 4x100m.

Other sportswoman of the year nominees are 2014 winner Alia Atkinson, who won three medals at the Short Course (SC) Worlds and broke the 50m breaststroke SC world record; cricketer Stafanie Taylor and Olympic medallists Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce as well as Shericka Jackson who won bronze in the 100m and 400m respectively.

The award ceremony will air Friday, January 13, 2017 at 9:30 pm. (ect).
